Santa Barbara AND my new ATL tee

I paid a visit to lovely Santa Barbara with my mother the other day and it was absolutely beautiful!

The sky was so blue and the crashing waves were just so calming.



We spent our day visiting all of the great shops, strolling the beach, and visiting the Camarillo outlets on our way home.

The funny thing is that even with all of the f-a-b-u-l-o-u-s shops, I only ended up buying one thing:

It's pretty "JCrew-ish" IMO and maybe that's what made me buy it. It has some interesting crochet trimming and fun ruffle-y detailing. It's very lightweight and fitted. (But not tooooo fitted.) The color I'm wearing is Peach and is perfect for this summer season. I highly recommend this top if you're looking for something "different."

The Wide Braided Vachetta Belt has a "D" ring type of closure with holes to fit. It's a size small and NWT. Original Retail Price $60. It's meant to fit just above the hips (or hips) so it's not quite a waist belt. Total length is 39 1/2 inches from end to end. Length to the tightest hole 36 1/2 inches and then another inch to the next hole and another inch to the last hole.

Okay now I'm back!

Now that I am back hanging out at home (bored out of my mind) I'm re-entering the world of blogging. I'll admit that I have been incredibly lazy and that I have really neglected my blog. When you stop to think about it, updating a daily blog takes a lot of work so I give y'all major props for always keeping yours new, fun, and interesting! :)

To catch you up on the situation from my last real post, (when I was visiting my boyfriend) I decided to give the whole double dating situation another try. This time we double dated to the beach (with the same couple.) I'll admit, I thought it was going to be horrible but surprisingly I had a blast! I guess it's just a little hard for me to warm up to people at first. I didn't realize I was so shy but at least I learned something new about myself. The beach was SUPER HOT, the water was ICY COLD and sadly I ended up getting sunburned. Even with all of the aloe vera and moisturizer I put on in the past few days, I'm currently peeling. AND IT SUCKS! Luckily it's not my face- just my shoulders. Easy to hide...

Anyway, with all of this free time I've had, I've been doing a little bit of FUN summer reading. I decided to tackle the "Shopaholic" series so that I could FINALLY watch the movie. I read the first 2 books you know what?! I loooved them! I forgot just how fun reading could be! So last week my bf and I rented the movie and you know what?! THE BOOK WAS WAAAAAAAAAAAY BETTER!!!! The movie was completely different and it killed it for me! Did any of you read and then watch the movie?! OMG you haaave to giive me your input! I was so upset and rather disappointed. I guess that's why they say the book is always better.

On another note, in terms of shopping, I really haven't done any! I'm currently saving my $$$ for a brand new Marc Jacobs handbag. Which one? Not sure yet, but after eyeing a few at Nordy's the other day I really can't decide. Hehe. I know we've all been there before.

Sorry! I've been laaaaaazy!

Hello Aficionadas! Sorry I've been incredibly lazy in updating my blog but I'm finally here!

I'm super glad that I woke up early this morning to catch the great website update because I FINALLY pulled the trigger on the Dressy Jersey Strapless Dress in Papaya!



And WOOP WOOP it was only $29.99!!! This $30 cap is really workin' in my favor!! I've seeeeriously been waiting for that darn dress to get cheaper and it was just my luck that it did! There are a few other things that I would have loved to purchase but I just couldn't bring myself to pay over $100 for 3 meesley items. Shipping is such a downer!!!

Well anyway, I'm up in Northern California for the week visiting my BF and his family. I love love love being up here because NORCAL is such a different environment than SOCAL. IMO it's just a lot more pleasant, diverse, and they have THE best variety of food, shopping, etc. I looove it!

As far as shopping goes, I went to the Valley Fair JCrew to check out the scene and that store was pretty picked over and nothing really caught my eye. Not exciting at all. I'm hoping that my BF will take me around to other malls AND possibly the outlets but we'll have to see. He's the lazy type and is currently still snoring as I type. Ahh, he is definitely NOT an early bird.

On a side note, speaking of my BF, we went on a double date to D&B's with his friend and his gf last night and well, it was pretty awkward. You'd think that it was a total blast because when you think D&B's- it's like FOOD, DRINKS, FUN! Right?! Well in my case, not so much. For starters, I didn't know the girl or the guy for that matter and so I was rather quiet and kept to myself. But have you ever been on a double date where your bf ends up being more of a date to his friend than you?! Ahh I mean I understand that they're buddies and whatnot but man, would it kill my bf to ditch his friend for 5 minutes just to play skee-ball with me?! It was like they were attached at the hip. Ahh. And as for the gf, you know how you can just hit it off with some ladies and not so much with others... yeah, it was definitely the latter. Sorry for the rant!

I'm Baaaaaack!

Hiiiiiii Everyone! I've missed you all!
It's been a nice couple of weeks just bumming around back at home. I got super sick after my plane ride home. It was sooo horrible! I probably caught something from someone. But thank goodness I'm finally all better. I've been too lazy to go online so I have a TON of catching up to do.

Since it is finally JUNE, my shopping ban is over and I can start shopping again!!! The funny thing is that during the month of May I seriously realized just how bad my shopping habit/obsession was. Constantly keeping up with JCA, it's almost like I felt the NEED to shop and have all the latest styles. It's like I got a shopping high or something! Taking a step back and seeing how much I used to spend was really crazy! I was a JCrew addict. But anyway, now that I know that I have a "problem" I just have to keep it all under control. I decided to give myself a set shopping allowance and put a $30 cap in the price I spend of a single item and so far it's going just fine.

Soooo, what have I bought since June started?

A super cute 2 piece bathing suit from Banana Republic Outlet for $16! (Both pieces total!) Thanks to all of you for your bathing suit advice! I'm so happy I found a cute one at a steal of a price!
3 tops from Ann Taylor Loft $30 total! (Man, that store has some cheap finds if you're there at the right time!)
1 pair of those JCrew look-a-like fireball earrings from Nordstrom Rack for $20!! (Yay, I finally found them!)

And today during the JCrew Update I finally scored:

I missed out on the EXTRA20 sale, eh, that's what I get for sleeping in a missing all the re-stock updates! It's also a total BUMMER that the sales tax in Cali is sooooo high because when you order online you have an extra something to pay. Totally sucks!!!

Oooh and my mom bought me the Orchid Pewter Sorbet Stripe Cardi since I returned mine back when I paid $60 for it. I'm so glad it's super cheap now! It's crazy how much they reduce their items!

But anywho, I can't wait to read all of your lovely blogs and see what y'all have been up to.

I'll probably visit the Cabazon outlets this weekend to see what JCrew has got going on over there.
