Old Navy! A great place for deals!

This weekend, Old Navy is holding their "Stuff & Save" promotion where you can get 30% off your purchase if you use or open an ON, Gap, Banana Card. (AND you get a cutesy tote bag!)

Lucky for me, I had my trusty Banana Card and so I was ready to do some shopping!
As I was browsing along, I came across this SUPER cute Shawl Belted Cardi Coat!

I could have SWORN it was marked $30 so when I got to the register and it rang up as $36.50, I made sure to have the cashier double check the price. Of course, the cashier was lazy and didn't even bother to take a second look and marked it at $30. After the 30% off, it came out to $21.00! Such a great price! Now here is the embarrassing part... I had my bf check the price of the cardigan on his way out of the store and it really isn't $30! It's not even on sale! I must have made up the price in my head with all of the 30% off signs... Oh well, I guess they could have checked if they wanted to. But anywho, I'm totally LOVING it! Its fairly soft, WARM, and kinda resembles the JCrew Marled Wool Cardigan.
Kinda. But not really I guess. This one doesn't have half as much white-ish color but its still a nice alternative for the "marled" look. FYI: The ON one runs TTS and long enough to cover the booty! Great for pairing with leggings! :)
Here it is on me:

I also picked up a few $7 longsleeve tees. These next 2 tops reminded me of the Jaspe because of the v-shaped thingy at the top and the banded bottom. And the stripes totally reminded me of the "Forever stripe cardigan." So I guess this tee was a mix of the two! The only thing is that this shirt is just regular t-shirt material. Nothing special. I'm wearing an XS in this one.

And a Small in this one.
I also picked up this one too!
It has that JCrew-ish henley look which is great for layering once it starts to get super cold around here! With the 30% off, they came out to be $4.90 each! Woop! WOOP!
I even picked up some thermal tops for my BF for $4.90 as well! Such great deals!!!

Definitely stop by Old Navy if you get a chance! Their prices are so great and with them being so low you can get more for your money! Happy Halloween Shopping ladies! Enjoy your weekend!

Some new stuff!

Hi everyone! Sorry for the lack of posts but midterm month pretty much took over my life. But now I'm back and ready to share some goodies!

I received the Strada Ruffle Cardigan (item 20306)

the other day and while it is rather cute, mine came with a tiiiiiiiny little red stain on it. That super sucks but after thinking about whether or not I wanted to exchange it, I think that I'm just going to return it. I did get it for only $70 or so since I bought it during the SHOPFALL sale, but I'm just not loving it.

Here is it on me:
The overall design is nice and the print is different and fun, but IMO, it's really not worth the $70 I paid. The buttons are cheap and plain old plastic and let me tell you, they are a PAIN to button up/unbutton. In terms of size, I really think it runs a tad tight/small. I got an XS and it was just a little bit uncomfortable in the sleeves. If you decide to get this sweater, it may be best for you to try it on first. Here is a closeup of the print/flat ruffles:

Next, the Always Cardigan!

If you're looking for something casual to throw on with jeans, this is the thing for you! It's a nice shawl-ish cotton cardigan that fits TTS. It comes in black, navy, light pink, lavender, and gray. And I'm kinda thinking of buying all of them! Why? Because I love it so much! Surprisingly it is a lot softer than than any of JCrew's other cotton items. The website describes it as:
The perfect little lounge-around cardigan—silky soft and lightweight. Throw it on anytime as a cozy cover-up. Cotton/Modal® rayon. V-neck. Long sleeves. Import. Machine wash.
IMO, they are right on the dot! At only $29.50, (which is a lot cheaper than their other items) this is a nice little steal. It's listed in the Weekend Lounge Section so it's kinda hidden. I highly recommend you check it out!

Here's the outfit I wore yesterday:

If you notice, I'm wearing my brand new Scattered-glass bauble necklace. I love love love this necklace! It was a super score for only $19.99 and it seriously goes with everything!

And here are some mini reviews on a couple items.

Pointelle Stripe Cardigan- TTS, not as soft as I expected. I feel a little weary about this cardigan because of the little needlepoint holes. I seriously feel that if I accidentally snag one of those tiny holes it will turn into a huge hole which will then make the cardigan useless to me. Other than the pretty jeweled buttons, I'm a tad bit disappointed. For now, I'm keepin' it!

Toothpick Ankle Cords- TTS compared to the Toothpick Ankle Jeans. I got the warm maple color since it was on sale and I love them. The sales rep said they tend to stretch out when wearing so keep that in mind when buying them. Since I'm only 5'4, they're not really ankle length on me, they're just right. Totally get them if you're in the market for some cute cords!

Matchstick Cords- TTS, I got the short length but they're a tad longer than a petite length pant would be. I got the warm sandalwood color and love them!

Oooh and last but not least I got this ring for only $10!

I'm still waiting for my Tivoli cardi to come in so that'll be on my next post. Do any of you have some of these items? Let me know what you think!
Happy shopping everyone! Have a great weekend!

PRODUCT REVIEW: SNUGGIE!!!

Yeah, that's right. THE INFAMOUS Snuggie! I know you're thinking... "uh, that was SOO last year." But you know what, winter comes around every year and so the Snuggie is slowly coming back into style!

I've been wanting to buy one for the longest time because it's simply GENIUS! But I have to admit that I was just too embarrassed to buy one. I'm not going to lie. They look silly and cheesy but you know what? I'm really loving mine! I'm wearing it as I type and it's seriously great.

My mom is visiting me this weekend and she was so sweet. She was like, "oh I got you something.." and I was like "ooooh!" (thinking it was jcrew related) and there she was... holding this big box with a lady wearing a pink blanket. i paused for a second and my mom goes, "I GOT YOU A SNUGGIE!!!" lol. it was so cute and funny. She got me the special edition PINK (for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.) LOVE IT!

Softness-wise: It's fleece. Fleece is always soft. It's kinda cheapy-ish fleece but it's ok. Machine washable items are always my friend.
Warmness-wise: I'm warm! My arms are warm, my body is warm, my legs and feet are warm. And the best part? MY HANDS/ARMS ARE FREE TO MOVE AROUND!!! LOVE IT!
Size-wise: Yeah, it's a one size fits all kind of deal. Let's just say that I can fit both my legs into each arm hole. But it should work for ya'll.

All in all, it's a pretty great product. My only issue with it is the backside. You pretty much just throw the 2 ends together hoping to keep your back warm but since the entire blanket is huge, it tends to get undone unless you lay back to keep the blanket secure. My boyfriend gave me a suggestion. What was it you ask??? He said to belt it. BELT IT. Like i do with my sweaters. LOL. Isn't that funny? He was trying to help me be fashionable and practical. I doubt I'll ever belt it but some velcro wouldn't be a bad idea.

I highly recommend this item for all of you that spend time on the couch. If you're looking for something comfy, simple, CHEAP ($14.99 at local stores), and hands-free, go buy one!!! I personally love it because I'm always on my laptop or doing hw on the couch. This really solves my blanket issues. And if you don't like it... don't worry! Just return it! I'm sure it won't be final sale. haha :)

Enjoy your weekend ladies!

Got me some new necklaces!!!

....and for cheap!!!

Crystal Cadence Necklace in Butterscotch (Currently $70 online)

I bought it off the weekly exchange so I got a GREAT deal (Thanks JCrew Junkie!) and at first I thought that the jewels were INCREDIBLY huge, but now I love them! This necklace is just a fun statement piece! The butterscotch color is perfect for fall and the complimentary pinkish color is soft and pretty. The fun thing about this necklace is that it can be wrapped around twice giving you options on what length you want to wear it. The goldish metal is actually bronze in real life. Overall, I never thought that I would wear such a huge necklace but it goes great with my boatneck painter tee and some of my other fall clothes.

Mixed Shape Crystal Necklace $19.99! But currently sold out.

I already had this necklace in the clear crystal color (still haven't worn it) and now I have it in the blackish color. This necklace is GREAT for layering and was such a steal for as much use I'll get out of it. If you find one around, I highly recommend you snatching it! It is versatile and can easily be dressed up or down! :)

And this morning online I picked up:
Scattered Glass Bead Necklace! For only $19.99!

I've been drooling over this necklace after seeing this picture
in the September Catalog. I'm glad it finally went on sale! I snatched it online right away because i knew it would sell out fast. I didn't even hesitate despite the fact that I had to pay shipping. I can't wait to get it! Anyone have this necklace?

And slightly OT, but still concerning jewelery, I received the Dangling Crystal Ring yesterday and I am pretty disappointed. The jewels look overly huge, fake, and not quite secure. And when they said dangling...they weren't kidding. The crystals seriously dangle. I really wasn't a fan. I'm going to return it today in hopes of getting something else that I like. This ring really was weird because the round metal ring wasn't even a complete ring. It was like 3/4 a ring and the top part just dangled on little loops. It's so hard to describe...but yeah, it's going back.

I'm stoppin' by the store later this morning to check things out. I've heard about some great markdowns in the sale section and I really wanna find some deals!!! Happy shopping ladies!

YAY! New Arrivals!!

Whenever new arrivals come out, I always feel like a kid in the candy shop! I got that feeling of being overjoyed because I saw a few things that I just had to have! (Lol, just a few things! After I clicked through the new stuff and the catalog I was kinda sad because it wasn't THAT exciting.) What did you think?

On a side note, sorry times 100 for being away for a whole week or so! It has been INCREDIBLY hectic! School and studying have consumed my life! (I've been wearing lounge pants...TO SCHOOL! AHH! I'm guilty of being a fashion no-no!) I could hardly even catch a break to do any online shopping. I've been studying non-stop with my study group for the past 2 weeks for this test that is FINALLY OVER. So as soon as I got home and read that the new arrivals were out, I seriously busted out my credit card to do some well earned shopping.

I took advantage of the SHOPFALL promo even though I didn't have free shipping. Like many lucky ladies (who get it all month long!!!) I'm so jealous!!!... I wish I got it again but I did my fair share of shopping with that VIP card. JCrew's selectivity is SOOO RANDOM!

But anywho, here is what I got:

Tivoli Boiled Wool Cardigan $78 (LOVE THIS COLOR!! I wonder how long this cardi will be on me?? I'm 5'4... Eh, oh well it's sooo cute! It really better be soft and not toooo itchy!)

Always Cardigan $29.50 (looks like a nice/comfy little something to throw on with jeans..)

Strada ruffle cardigan $88 (I'm seriously going to copy the exact same outfit! LOOOVE IT! Love the pattern, love the side ruffle, ahhh I LOVE IT ALL!)
PS: I got the toothpick ankle pants in the black rinse and I'm loooving them!!

Did any of you take advantage of this promo? I think it was a pretty good deal considering new stuff NEVER really gets promos. I just had to shell out $15 for shipping... sad!!! I guess spending less than $160 (shipping included) really wasn't so bad. Thank goodness Massachusetts doesn't charge tax on these things!! WOOP WOOP!

Oooh and I seriously had to blog about this: so there is this girl in my class who must be incredibly OBSESSED with JCrew... its so funny because I swear, everyday she comes to class DECKED out in Crew gear. For class. Seriously, head to toe! She even layers her necklaces, rolls her jeans, rolls her blazer sleeves and lives in her Jack Purcells. I wonder if she is a JCA?? She has some great clothes but I don't think I'll tell her about the JCA site because she might think that I'm weird or something for writing about the clothes I buy.. hehe. Would you tell a random stranger about your blog or the JCA site??

But anyway... Sorry for not having much fashion to post about. This has been an incredibly busy week! I'll be sure to post about alll of the great goodies I've bought during this VIP free shipping promo! Happy shopping to you all! The weekend is almost here!

GIVEAWAY!!! (wannabe storybook charm bracelet!)

I popped into the mall this afternoon to return that weird streamer tank that WAS NOT my Corsage Cardigan.. I browsed around JCrew and saw a lot of nice things that were NOT on sale so I had to pass. I walked around, bought a cookie to snack on, and swung into ALDO!

They happened to have a good amount of "Storybook Charm" bracelets currently 2 for 1 so I decided to grab 2! The first thing my BF said was "WHOA. That bracelet has got a lot going on.." LOL, he's right but I had to have it! It was only $15 for two so you know what, ONE OF YOU CAN HAVE IT!!!

I'm giving away this baby!
