OOTD and some disappointment!

Here is what I wore to class today.

The sun was out but it was pretty chilly!
I'm wearing my new Cashmere sequin shell (size small) that I got off of the weekly exchange from Weab! She shipped super fast and gave me a GREAT price! I love it! So comfy! :) I highly recommend her! The shell itself is very soft and the sequin detail is pretty cute. I'd say the small fits rather loosely but I'm guessing that an XS would "hug" my midsection.

My other pieces are:
Express Cardigan
Express Jeans
JCrew Crystal Teardrop Necklace
Nine West Patent Buckle Flats

I had a midterm today and I could swear that I did just a little bit better and felt a little more confident because of my cute outfit! Sounds silly but soo true!

And here is my polyvore:

I wish i had some Tory Burch flats! One day...

And now on to my sad news! I received my rosette tee in White that I had ordered and guess what?! IT HAS A HOLE IN IT!!! Why would they send me this with a hole?! I'm super sad because I ordered it with my red card so hopefully I will be able to exchange it for the same price. Super disappointed! The hole is pretty noticeable IMO. I'm just hoping that it will all will work out and I'll be able to get my hands on one WITHOUT a hole!

I'm wearing a small. Fits a lot more comfortable than my previous XS natural.

Here's the hole.

Yes, it looks tiny but it's pretty noticeable when you wear it. I *could* just keep it and wear a cardi to cover it, but summer is just around the corner and I'm sure I'll want to wear it w/o a sweater.

Ahhhhh.

My last hurrah!

Okay so I admit I DID wake up super early this morning to see if I could catch some last minute sale items before my SHOPPING BAN!! Ahh those words seem so harsh!!! But anyway I wasn't able to score a Meringue sleeve top like I had wished but I did score something else.

The Salina Iridescent Patent-Leather Ballet Flats in Metallic Guava!

After thinking about how much I love love my metallic gold city ballet flats and how much use I get out of them, I thought it was a great idea to snag these shoes from the sale section. It took me about 5 seconds for me to click submit order! You know when you buy something that fast, that means you HAVE TO HAVE IT!!!

Luckily the color is a great neutral that will carry me through the seasons and hopefully last me more than a year, which is much more cost effective than buying some t shirt that will fade and fall apart. So this purchase was well worth it right?! And for $39.99 how could I go wrong?! I know I said I wouldn't buy anything else but ahhhhh how could I pass up such a great deal on beautiful shoes?! Especially when they retail for $138!!! It was a steal!

Anywho, I also bought these:

Floral Sparkle Earrings Item 17776 $35

I was super in love with the other floral earrings (item 16917) but I thought they'd be way too big and heavy for my little ears. IRL they are super super gorgeous!!! I haven't seen the ones I bought in person, but I'm hoping that they are cute. They look a bit more petite which is a good thing. If it doesn't work out, I can always return! For the most part, I think that they look very pretty and would add a little umph to an outfit.

So I guess that is ALL for now! No more shopping!! Well, I'm only allow one exception this weekend when I go to Express because I have some express cash that I don't want to go to waste! :) And I'm setting the bar at $50 max. But no more JCrew, no more Weekly exchange, no more deals on eBay! Nada!

Help keep me on the right path ladies! :)
I'm gonna miss shopping!

EXTRA20!

Yay! I woke up to find that there was a promo going on! EXTRA20! Although there really isn't much left in the sale section, I did manage to buy 1 thing! And this will be the LAST thing for a long time since my closet is full! I have new sandals, new shorts, new sweaters, a new jacket, lots of new shirts, new EVERYTHING! I even bought new makeup so I am SET!

What did I buy????
The Colorblock Crystal Necklace!!!

I've been waiting forever to buy it and I'm glad that I waited! It's such a steal for $49.99 and another 20% off that! I'm a yellow lover and after seeing Margot wear it this past weekend, I knew I HAD TO HAVE IT!!!!

I always love the SALE section sales because you can always stack your student discount. This morning after I placed my order, I emailed my PS to have him apply it. After class I checked my email to find this message:

Ashley,

Your 25% red card discount (instead of your student discount) will be
applied to that order.

Best,
P

OMG OMG OMG isn't he great?! I started to feel bad that he allowed me to use my redcard on my other orders (since it's against policy) so I didn't want to ask this time around. But I guess it's not my fault because wow! He did it on his own anyway!

UPDATE: My PS just emailed me saying "Oops. I didn't realize another promo was used on this order. Regardless, it was my mistake. You'll still be getting the redcard applied as well."

Lol that explains it. I guess I lucked out! :)

As much as I'd love to order more things to take advantage of my last days of this redcard... I don't think I will.

I may just join that shopping ban now!

Happy Wednesday ladies! :)

Madewell's Must-have for May

"Slouchy, hip and totally wearable-- they're the coolest shape of the season."

I think that the low crotch is a bit awkward.
How do you feel about these pants? For $88, I think I'll pass.

My Palermo's are here! :)

My lovely Palermo's are finally here! I originally wanted these sandals way back when but decided not to get them because of price. Of course I changed my mind down the road and had to have them! Only problem was that they were SOLD OUT! I waited for the ivory ones to pop back online but always missed my chance. Finally last week I was able to snag Metallic Gold Jacquard Print ones in my size!

I'm so glad that I did!

These sandals are soooo pretty! I'm obsessed with Metallic Gold because it is such a great "neutral!" This gold is much more saturated in color than my metallic gold espadrilles but that doesn't bother me at all. The chain is a great detail and just lays flat on the foot. I would say that these are best on narrow feet and rather tts. I tried these in a 7 a while back since I'm usually a 6 or 6 1/2, but sizing up would have been much too big. I don't know how these sandals will affect my feet when walking out and about but once I break them in I'll let you know how that goes.

Overall I'm very happy with this purchase. They were such a steal! :) I love them!

*I'll post some IRL photos soon!

The JCrew "sleeve roll"

Here's the sleeve roll:
You'll need a longsleeve shirt of any sort. Preferably one with button cuffs. But I guess that it doesn't really matter.

Step 1: Unbutton Cuffs
Step 2: Fold the sleeve up in one fold to just below your elbow
Step 3: Fold bottom of that initial roll about an inch and a half. You can eye-ball it.
Step 4: Fold another inch or so until the bottom of your sleeve is just above your elbow.
Step 5: Unfold the top of the cuff so that it covers the fold.

The main point is to roll your sleeve up and have the cuff still show with the exterior print. This is particularly helpful for long sleeve shirts that have ruffles at the cuff or some type of detailing. If it is a bit tight at your elbow you don't have to fold it up as high.

If you have the new catalog look at pg 39 so you can see this picture up close. The left sleeve (her right arm) is a perfect example!

Hopefully those steps make sense!
If you need clarification feel free to ask! :)

Happy Sleeve folding!

I'm returning the sweater!

As I was cleaning up my room, I came to the conclusion that I really don't need this $60 sweater. I have a ton of cardis already PLUS i just bought the super awesome Maisey so I think that should be alright for now.

As pretty and soft as this sweater is, it's incredibly thin for the price. As much as I love it, I feel waaaaaaay tooooo guilty keeping it! I rarely pay that much on one single item. That last single JCrew item that cost me over $60 was my Maggie! It's understandable to pay $80+ for a coat or something, but for a thin sweater that will probably go on sale and snag... not so much.

I'm going to return it Wednesday morning after class.
So if any of you lovely ladies want it, I'm giving it to you at Red Card price! (Plus shipping.) So $65 shipped. Great deal considering its a whoppin' $79.50 online!

Let me know if you are interested! It's XS in Orchid Pewter :)

Instead, I'm probably going to pick up a cute necklace and maybe belt or shirt. I guess whatever ends up floating my boat.

:)

Hope you all have a great week!

I miss my dog!

I miss my dog. I can't wait to go back home to see him!

Stuff I learned yesterday...

Since Gigi and Dina wanted to know about my belting experience I decided to let you know what I learned. Keep in mind this may be VERY obvious to you belting aficionadas but to a belting beginner like myself, this may be helpful!

1. I found out that since I DO have a boyish midsection (straight down, not much definition of a waist) it's best to wear your belt a little higher than usual.

- What I had been doing wrong is wearing it smack dab across my midsection, not giving much thought as to where my "waist" was.

2. Feel free to knot your belt instead of buckling it.

- Self explanatory. You CAN still use your buckle but to be a little different knotting it can do the job as well.

3. After belting your top, whether it be a cardi, button down, blouse... make sure to pull the excess material to the back. Our stylist said "no one cares if it has extra fabric in the back. just do it neatly, and make sure that the front is flattering."

4. When wearing cardigans and belting, make sure you don't button all the way down.

- Especially with the longer cardigans like the Michelle or the Merino Microstripe... don't button the last 3 or so buttons because by doing so you make your hips look wider than they need to. She said depending on the style you're going for, you only need to button a few.

5. Wear a simple button down shirt belted over whatever you want to give your outfit a different look.

- This is what I was going for in my previous post. The button down can be fitted OR NOT. I paired mine with shorts and a tank so that I wouldn't look so "provocative" especially since I was wearing a lower cut top, shorts, and wedge shoes. You never want to show tooo much skin. If you have a mini and heels the button down will help to cover you up without losing style! (Margo tried this look yesterday and was super cute!)

6. Don't be afraid to NOT match.

- You can mix up patterns and stripes. Mix silvers and golds. Mix belts with jewelry. She said "if you think you might be doing something wrong, then you're probably doing it right!"

I guess that's what JCrew style is about. Mixing the quirky prints and over-sized jewelry with the clean!

Boston JCA shopping event!

Today was our special shopping event and I had a lot of fun. It was great to see everyone and shop with a group of girls. I enjoyed seeing all the new things but I didn't really fall in love with anything.

I did however learn how to belt outfits, do the JCrew sleeve roll, and how to be creative with outfits.

I wanted to buy the 2 necklaces on my wishlist but they didn't happen to have them. I'll probably end up ordering them online.

I tried on the Dressy Jersey Strapless dress and as much as I loved it, I wasn't ready to spend that much on a knit dress. It was super comfy though!

So what did I end up buying?
- Triple Strand Patent Leather Belt
- Linen Seaside Shorts
- Spiral Washed Favorite Tank
- Sorbet Striped Sweater.

I was feeling creative when I got home so I put this outfit together with my new pieces. I'm especially loving the belted look over a longsleeve button-up!(I'm wearing my new belt, tank, and shorts.)

**Speaking of these shorts, they were great for $15! (With red card.) They're super comfy and have a loose fit. I actually sized down to a 2 in these. They're totally worth it!

As for this puppy:

I've been wanting the Sorbet Stripe Sweater for a while and it is super cute! It's very lightweight and thin. Luckily I had my red card because I would NEVER pay $79.50 for a sweater!! But at the moment, I'm actually feeling quite guilty for spending $60 on it... I'm debating whether or not I should return it and just use that money to buy the two necklaces I want. Hmmmmmmm.

All in all, I had a great time shopping. I never really understood how to wear a belt but now I'm so excited to try it on my own with different outfits. I'm also excited to try different color combos and push the envelope a little bit more. Today was exactly what I needed to put a smile on my face.

:)

Feelin' HOT HOT HOT

First off, I would just like to say THANK YOU to all you lovely ladies that stopped by to cheer me up. It worked. Today was such a beautiful day and I felt much better inside. I love having this blog as an outlet for my good times and bad and its so nice to have a community of gals that are so fun, positive, and fashionable in my life. All of you make me so happy!

Anywho, I took a trip to the mall with the bf and we had a great time. I returned the cantaloupe shorts, that weird chiffon tank, and the viscose ruffle tank. As much as I liked the viscose tank, I didn't love love it. I would much rather buy something from the new rollout.

So that means that I'm armed with a $100 gift card to go crazy at tomorrow's shopping event.

I'll have to get to sleep early tonight to make sure I wake up bright and happy! :)

I didn't really look around at the new stuff so I'm excited to see it IRL tomorrow!

One thing I did buy today were these:

I only paid $8! And I got a free re-usable tote! Lol the perks of having an ON/Banana Card! I know I said I wouldn't buy them but I realized that I really needed some flat sandals. Why you ask? Well, to make a long story short, I'm about 5'3 and my bf is about 5'6ish. With the espadrilles on, I was just about as tall as him and even though he didn't say "oh can you change your sandals because now you're taller..." you could see in his eyes that he wanted me to.

It's understandable. If I was a dude I'd want to be taller than my girl too. So now I have cute sandals that let my bf still feel like a man.

hehe.

Oh and it was almost 90 degrees here. It got pretty close!

Enjoy your weekend!

Goodbye Horrible Week! Hello WEEKEND!

AHH! It's been such a long and busy week for me!!! I can't even count how many times I've cried this week! I am just super happy that the weekend is finally here. I've been so stressed out with school, my bf, and "that wonderful time of the month" that the only thing that puts a smile on my face is this blog... and JCrew.

Anyway, my physics test went well and now I can breathe. I finally made some study buddies in my class and they've really motivated me to study and broke me out of my "shy" shell. I've been in this completely new enviromnet for the past 6 months solely conversing with my bf on a day to day basis (since we don't know anyone here in MA) that I forgot what it was like to have girlfriends to laugh and joke around with. It took a whole school year for things to get where they are and I finally feel like everything is slowly falling into place.

For the first time in a long time I finally DROVE my car. I'm usually the passenger since my bf always insists on driving. I get irritated sometimes because he treats me like a pet and its like he thinks I can't do anything for myself. AH! Kind of annoying! But I love him. He always gets annoyed that I have errands to run and I always end up feeling "bad" for taking up his time. But today I guess I got fed up with his grumpy attitute or maybe I just had my moodswings working that I just took the car keys and went on my way. My bf thought I was bluffing when I said I'd drive myself but I seriously just stormed out of the apartment. For me, it was just a good feeling to be independent for once. It really bothers me that he thinks I can't do things on my own!!! I only went to the post office and to Target but I can't even tell you how good it felt to NOT rely on him to always drive me around. Needless to say, I drove pretty well. No tickets, no accidents.

Ahh. I may just be homesick or in a rut. Keep in mind it's just me and my bf 24-7. We live together. We go to school together. Everything together. I mean I love him and all but maybe I just need space! AHHH. My bf and I are all good now but it's just the little things that just eat away at me. AHhh. I need some retail therapy.

I wish Sunday was already here!

On another note, I was able to snag these sandals yesterday morning:

Palermo Metallic Jacquard Sandals $49.99 but $37.50 with my Red Card! :)
They actually just shipped out tonight and my PS let me use my red card on it. My PS is the greatest!!!!!!!!! He is so awesome and helpful!!! I'm so lucky! So I guess I can cross the Carina sandals off my Wishlist since I have these now :)

I hope all of you enjoy your weekend! :)

Another Delivery!

I was super duper excited that my package from NY came in today! It was definitely something great to take my mind off of studying!

Anywho, I received my MAISEY jacket, and 2 Michelles! One Michelle is in Glazed Pecan and the other is "Sorbet"... the sorbet is not quite ORANGE or MELON but a mix between the two. It's a bright and bold color that is absolutely fab! IRL it looks like type of "orange" that you find in Sorbet ice cream. It's like a pretty orange IMO. Here's what it looks like IRL:

I guess in this picture it kinda looks like more of a RED-ORANGE... when I edited the exposure of the picture I think it kinda distorted the color...

The fit of the Michelle cardigan is very comparable to that of the Portland except it really isn't as soft or stretchy. I'm wearing an XS in this picture. I really can't really complain about this sweater because I only paid a whoppin' $15 for each. I'm a happy camper either way!

Now on to my new FAVORITE JACKET... my $45 Fallie Maisey Jacket!!!
I wanted to go for this look:

I took my Personal Shopper's advice as well as other JCAs and sized down to a 2. I'm usually a 4p in coats and jackets but since it wasn't offered in a petite my PS assured me that this size should work.

Here is it IRL:

(The right side may look a bit wide since my Right arm was pulling the jacket up when taking the picture... with both arms down and wearing normally the jacket doesn't look odd or big.)

The cut is pretty cute IMO. It buttons down the front and has two pockets. The pleats go around the lower half of the body which is kinda cute. It reminds me of my Felicia coat with the pleats. It might not work on some women because the pleating might make ya look bigger or wider than you are since it tends to puff out a little.

The jacket is a bit stiff and form fitting but it's not completely restricting. IMO its pretty comfortable. It looks like a cute weekend jacket that you can throw on when you are out and about. It's not lined at all and the material is super light weight. It's definitely not made for a cold day because it really won't do anything to keep you warm. The "champange" color is more like a light beige IMO. There really isn't much to say except I really like this jacket.

I super lucked out and found a jacket that actually fits great without me trying it on prior to purchase! I think I might buy a sunray necklace to go with this outfit.

What do you think? Does it look alright? Should I keep it or return? Would you buy one?

Happy Shopping Ladies! :)

Product Review: Silk tie-neck tank

Silk tie-neck tank $78.00 item 13307
One of our favorite pieces for spring—lovely alone or under a cardigan. Silk habotai with a standing collar with a flowy self-tie at the neck and a ruched detail at the back—all the accessories you need. Nantucket fog has a contrast collar and tie. Classic fit at bust, with loose bodice. Straight hem. Hits at hip. Import. Dry clean.

I just received my silk tie neck tank (item 13307) from the Weekly Exchange and I LOOOOVE IT! (THANKS NANCY aka JCrew_Junkie!!!) I only paid a whoppin $40 for it so maybe that is what is making me love it even more! :)

This top is adorable! It has a tie at the neck can be tied as a bow and it's a super cute detail in my book! I'm wearing a size 0 in Nantucket Fog which is a pale grey color.

The color of the tie is a great contrast to the body and is best described as a very pale peach. The colors represented in the picture online are pretty accurate IRL. (Unlike some JCrew items...) Personally, I love the muted color scheme of this top because it is very soft and spring-like. The other colors offered for this top do not have a contrasting color tie and body, they're just solids.

This tank is incredibly light-weight because it seriously is made of 100% silk. There is no lining underneath so it is very thin.

The fit is similar to the Cherie Cami except this one is a tad more fitted. The Cherie was more flowy IMO.

The only drawback I can really see is that this top is a tad difficult to put on and take it off. There is no zipper to help with the give room so you have to be SUPER careful not to cause a rip.

I recommend this top only if you don't pay full price. At $78 you definitely would want something lined and a bit more structured.

But anywho, I still love it!
Here's my Polyvore for it:

What do you think? Have you tried this top on? Did it work out? How much would you pay for a top like this? Do you plan on giving this tank a chance? Let me know! :)

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

DELIVERY DAY!!!

My tanks arrived!

Perfect fit Chiffon Trim Tank in beechwood
: Two words, hot mess. Four words, NOT WORTH THE MONEY.
Here are a few pictures of it:

I'm wearing a size small. Fits TTS but is pretty clingy. It will hug your every curve and show your every bulge. NOT GOOD! The chiffon trim looks cheap and the ruffles look like a mess. This is totally getting returned!

Viscose Ruffle Sleeve Tank in Heather Light Grey: Two words, LOVE IT! Four words, TOTALLY WORTH THE MONEY.

I'm wearing an XS so I recommend you SD from your usual size to get a better fit. It is a flowy shirt which is a nice thing IMO. The material is tissue thin, very soft, and very light. This is a perfect tank top for those hot summer days. I highly recommend it unless you are smaller than I am because this tank may look too big on you.

CORSAGE tee
: Two words, SUPER FLATTERING! Now I totally know what all the hype was about. This tee is super cute and pretty sexy looking without showing too much. I love the deep scoopneck because it really brings the focus up toward your face rather than the tummy areas.

I'm wearing a small which fit PERFECTLY! You can't really see the flowers on my top but it's still pretty. This color is navy (even though it kinda looks black.)

And BTW if your wondering what shorts I'm wearing, these are the Chino 3 inch shorts in SWEET CANTALOUPE. As you can see, they're BRIGHT! Like HELLO ORANGE bright! (Don't worry I'd never pair those shorts with these tops.) As much as I love the fit, the color is not as muted as I had wished or as it is shown online. These are probably going back. Might get the light kelly green ones...

Here's a cute colorful outfit I put together with another ruffle tank i bought. This one is NATURAL and I paired it with my melon portland.

On another note,
I ordered my Fallie Maisey Jacket this morning! I SERIOUSLY called EVERY store in MA at 10 o'clock this morning and nada! I finally started calling random NY stores since I knew that they were already opened. After 20 mins, I FINALLY found a store in NY that had the jacket! I was able to buy that as well as two Michelle Cardigans! AAAAND the sales rep allowed me to use my red card discount! She was so nice and grabbed all the Michelles in my size and described the colors to see if I wanted them. HOW wonderful!!! She was incredibly nice! The cherry on top was only having to pay $5.95 for it to ship to me! Maybe i should start calling stores instead of ordering online!!! Wouldn't be a bad idea...

HAPPY SHOPPING LADIES!!! :)

Product review: Rolling Ruffffffffffles Tank

Way back when this tank first came out, I vowed to never buy it. I thought, "Who in their right mind would ever wear such a busy tank?" From what it looked like in some pictures I was sure that it would be a HOT MESS on me. Since I really wanted to see what all this ruffle hype was about, I decided to get my hands on one.

So here it is:

When I first took it out of the box, nicely wrapped with tissue paper (since it came from a retail store WWFI) it looked really big. But to my surprise, it fit just right! I'm wearing an XS in warm blush. I really like this color because it makes me look a lot tanner than I really am. If you are fair skinned, you might get washed out.

The front definitely looks like ruffle mania is going on... but to me it comes off as looking nice in an abstract sort of way. I'm usually a size small in tee's and tanks, and a 0/2 in blouses and a 4p in coats just for your reference. If you are smaller than that, you might drown in this tank due to size. We all know how JCrew sizing has been out of wack!

But anyway, the tissue tank material is really soft and sheer. Since the ruffles cover your front, the tank in this color really doesn't seem to be SEE THRU. The ruffles tend to go up and down and aren't in exactly straight lines. If you have a full chest, I can't say for sure how the ruffles will lay. There is also a cute little tied bow that is kind of hidden but adds a little detail to the top.

Overall, I actually REALLY LIKE this tank. Not sure if I'm ready to use the other "L" word for it quite yet. But it really is growing on me. Wearing it alone IMO kinda makes me look wider than I really am because the ruffles tend to add depth in the front and on the sides.

I decided to compress the ruffles by pairing it here with my Library Cardi. (I'm obsessed with it.)

Here's my Polyvore:

What do you think? Do you have this ruffle tank? Are you ready to get one now that it is $29.99??? Or is this price too much to pay for a ruffle tank gone wild?

Tuesday, April 14, 2009

Ashley goes shopping.

Okay so I have a nice little story for you.
While clicking through the JCrew site, I spotted this tank:

the Perfect-fit Chiffon Ruffle Tank $42,
and since I haven't read any reviews, I decided to email "Erica" at erica@jcrew.com to find out about sizing.

I received a response within an hour and was greeted by a wonderful Personal Shopper who will be named "P." Anyway, P gave me all the measurements and told me to go with my regular size because it was running TTS. Anyway, I slept on it and pondered if I really wanted the tank. What I REALLY wanted was to try on the TISSUE ROLLING RUFFLES TANK that everyone and their mom has been dying to have.

I responded back to P, thanking him for the measurements and asked him if he could do a We Will Find It for one in XS...any color really, I didn't mind. I just wanted to see what all the hype was about.

He apparently called my phone after he got the email and of course since I screen my calls, I didn't answer... it coulda been a telemarketer!!! He then emailed me and let me know that he was able to find ONE in my size at a store. When he hadn't heard from me for a good 15 minutes, he took initiative and ordered the top with the card I keep on file with them. Luckily there were no shipping charges and he applied my student discount to give me the BEST price! (I did a WWIT a while back and had to pay shipping AND they wouldn't give me my student discount!) So I'm just hoping that this top works out because he gave me such a great deal!!!

After he did that, I decided to go ahead and let him put in an order for me with some tops I've been eyeing. I emailed him over the weekend and I didn't get a response... Anywho, he finally emailed me this morning and apologized for not giving me his hours ahead of time. He gladly put that order in for me and.. ladies hold on to you chairs-- HE WAIVED SHIPPING AND APPLIED MY RED CARD DISCOUNT. Yes, that's right... APPLIED MY RED CARD DISCOUNT!!! TO AN ONLINE ORDER! I couldn't believe my eyes either!!!

He said he did it as a "Thank You." I'm not really sure what he's thanking me for, but I was super happy about this!

Had I known he was going to do that for me, I would have ordered a butt load of stuff instead of just 3 tops!!!

Here are the other two that I am getting in addition to the Perfect-fit Chiffon Ruffle tank

Perfect Fit Corsage Tee in Navy

Viscose Ruffle Sleeve Tank in Heather Light Grey

So right now I'm just packed with a ton of happiness!!! :)
Definitely look into getting an online PS! You might end up with a good one like I did!

Have a great Tuesday everyone!

This week's for sale!!!

As much as I LOVE the look of this tote, I've decided to give it up.
I'm asking $75 shipped or feel free to make an offer! It's NWT and Metallic Gold.

I was kinda disappointed with this tote. As cute as it is, it doesn't hold shape when it is sitting on it's own. It does however, look super cute on your shoulder!

The material itself is kinda thin and flimsy. In the end, I'd much rather buy something I'm in LOVE with! Recouping cost, s&h (priority mail) to you, and darn paypal fee. I'll gladly take trades, offers, just let me know! :)

Email me if you are interested.

JCrew Kelly Striped Sweater Jacket :)

Special THANKS to Silver_lining for this WONDERful sweater! I absolutely LOVE it!
Fits great, looks great, and was such an awesome deal! $25!!!
Don't you just LOVE LOVE LOVE the weekly exchange?!

I'm wearing:
JCrew Stripe Kelly Sweater Jacket in Sour Lemon, size XS
JCrew Perfect fit tank, Dark Fog, Small
JCrew Cropped Chinos P4
Metallic Ballet flats
JCrew Chunky Gold Bracelet

(Not sure why one of my pant legs is shorter than the other. Lol it must be the way I was standing...)

I didn't actually wear this today.. I tried it on the other day to see how i would wear it. I had a hard time choosing what color top to wear underneath. White underneath was okay if I pair the top with jeans.

What color would you ladies wear underneath? The sweater itself comes up right at the hip which is kinda short so I'd only wear this with a shirt inside.

I absolutely LOVE this look though. Who knew grey would look good with Sour Lemon?!
PS: This is the bracelet I'm wearing.

Isn't it FAB?! It's a nice gold bracelet and better fitting than the Jenna one. This one isn't as CHUNKY and is easier to wear on a day to day basis.

I hope you all have a Happy Happy Easter! :)

Polyvore-ing on a Friday night!

I was a bit bored this evening and I came out with some great polyvores that were inspired from color combos I saw on WHAT NOT TO WEAR.

I decided to use items that I actually own. (Shopping MY closet!)
These are what I came up with:

Yellow, White, Brown

(PS: I just bought this top on eBay. If it doesn't fit it'll be on the weekly exchange!)

Brown & Purple

Brown & Pink

Red with Ruffles

I always enjoy watching What not to wear and that is where I get a lot of my inspiration and style tips.

Where do your style ideas come from?

My Express items!

Here are the IRL images of the stuff I bought from Express.

First is the Knit Stripe Scarf. Currently only $15! Super comfy and long enough to wrap around 2x! Perfect to carry me through the rest of spring!

Next is the Drawstring Convertible Tote. This tote is so great! I love the fact that it serves as a cross-body bag AND shoulder tote. It's currently $33 bucks down from $55. Pretty good deal IMO! This color is great for spring and won't get as dirty as a white bag would.

Last is the "Flyaway Cotton Cardigan." $18! This cardigan is PERFECT for those breezy days in Spring and Summer. It's long and flowy and IMO can be worn 2 ways.
1. Just worn regular and letting it hang
2. Tying both ends together to have the appearance of a Shawl or wrap.

Underneath I'm wearing this fab tank I found at the Kenneth Cole outlet back in December.

What do you think? Do you like my purchases? Are you planning to visit Express or JCrew??? Let me know! Have a great weekend! Happy Easter ladies!

Wearing today! Melon Portland and my new Bangle!

After seeing Katy O. wear her Melon Cardi a couple days ago, I was inspired to wear mine! I paired it with my Painted Stripe Tank, jeans, and Target flats. I threw on my crystal pillow necklace to give it some bling.

Here's my Polyvore and IRL:

I love the color of this Portland Cardigan. So bright and beautiful! Perfect for the sunny day we had today! Can you believe it got to 68 degrees?!

I ended up going to the mall and sadly they ran out of the gold ON sandals I wanted... I think I'll just get them online or something. I also paid a visit to JCrew to pick up the things on my Wishlist and surprisingly I didn't even buy any of those items!!! The only thing I took home was this bangle for $12 and that was it!

I decided to wait until our Boston meetup to do the real shopping! The Cambridge store hardly has anything. Very Blah!

I think this bangle is super lovely and I wanted to get it during the online sale but they sold out! I'm happy with this purchase, it's perfect for spring!!!

Happy Friday! :)
