Weekends were made for shopping! :)

This past weekend I went to.... Vegas! I didn't get all crazy and gamble the night away since I figured it was waaaaay more cost effective to go shopping instead! :)

I visited JCrew over at the Fashion Show Mall and it was reeeeeeeeally meh. Like MEH! Like how sad that they call this tiny store JCrew. They hardly even had any new stuff out!! I guess they were in the process of relocating to a newer, bigger store so for the time being it was all in shambles. But still, IMO, that's no excuse! And the sale section was soooo sad. There were a couple flip flops, left over tees and belts but that was pretty much it! I walked away with a yellow perfect fit tee for like $4.80(because who doesn't need a yellow shirt?!) and 3 belts for like $8 each. I got the Metallic Skinny Silver belt, Metallic Gold Triple Strand Belt (such a steal because I bought one in Champagne for like $30!), and a Bright Lilac Patent Jeans Belt. (Sorry for no pictures!)

We also made a stop at the Outlets and surprisingly I didn't buy any JCrew. Maybe the 100+ degree weather put a spell on me and made me not feel like trying any clothes on... They totally had a number cute things but for some reason I just wasn't interested. They had some graphic tees I wanted but I suppose I could hold off on them for a while.

We moved onward to the Dooney & Bourke outlet and I got this Handbag...

for a whoppin' $50!! Yes, that's right. $50! 5-0. 50! I'm pretty obsessed with Metallic Gold so I knew i had to have it! It was seriously just calling my name. And for that price?! They were practically giving it away! :)

I also bought a couple of dresses at a cute little boutique back in Cali. But I'll have to take pictures of them IRL when I wear 'em.

I hope you all enjoyed your weekend! I'm off to visit my bf in Norcal for the week. That should be super fun seeing as how I haven't seen him for over a month! And as for the giveaway... I'm sorry for the delay. I'm having the hardest time figuring out what to give away. Stay tuned because it will definitely be something good! :)

Ringling Bros. worker beats elephant- so cruel!

The Circus is currently in town this weekend and you definitely won't find me there. I can never stand to visit another circus after seeing this. Use caution when watching the video because it is incredibly sad! Please don't support animal abuse! Don't go to the circus!

Fall Rolllllllout... just a few.

Today I plan to keep it very very simple. They're either loves, likes, or just plain NO.

LOVE. Sherpa Long Hoodie $69.50 item 17590
I'm loving this Sherpa Hoodie! It looks incredibly comfy and perfect for me to throw on and go to class. Don't worry, I don't plan on wearing a gazillion necklaces with it all at once.

Love. Toothpick Ankle Cord $79.50 item 18266
OMG these cords must come to me now! I've never tried on the whole "toothpick" line of pants but hopefully they come out looking like this on me. *Sigh* Aren't these to die for?!

Love. Ankle stretch toothpick jean in black resin rinse $125.00 item 18188
*SIGH* Man, these pants look a-m-a-a-a-a-a-z-i-n-g! So simple yet so chic! I just hope they don't end up fading in the wash. Love those bracelets too!

Like. French terry tie-neck pullover $55.00 item 17591
Hmm i get the whole concept of sweatshirt and a scarf rolled into one but I'm worried that the tie-neck part will look funny just hanging on my chest. But I do like how it looks incredibly comfy! What do you think?

No
. Slub cotton silk streamers tank $32.50 item 18494
No wonder why they named it Streamers. In the meantime, I think I'll do without the party decorations on my chest thank you very much.

No
. Cotton corsage cardigan $49.50 item 17989
This looks like crinkled up cabbage. Shes probably thinking... "mmm I am kinda hungry," as she gazes upon the leftovers on her shoulder. J/k j/k! But really, I think this is a pass for me.

I'm sure there are a ton of more things that I love and don't love but that would seriously take me forever. Did you splurge on any fall rollout stuff right away or are you going to play the waiting game like me? Are there other items that you love and don't love? Let me know!

Uh oh... I bit the bullet.

Oh shoot. I was doing so well and then all of a sudden my fingers had a mind of their own and started adding item by item into my shopping cart. Before I knew it they had clicked SUBMIT!!!

AHHH!
But I guess it's okay because I think I found some great items. Here is what I bought:

I'm pretty much in love with all of JCrew's amazing patterned shorts. They're super duper cute and I think I'm obsessed. Who wouldn't be??? I've seriously been dying to get my hands on that medallion print for the longest time and finally that baby popped back for me in my size. I'm not quite sure how the horizontal line shorts are gonna look on me but luckily they weren't marked final sale. And oops, they were over $30. Whoops.

I grabbed the floral tee since it's in a brownish earth tone color to transition into fall. It's pretty cute i suppose.. and after stalking that darn Georgia Cardi in Bistro Orange it is finally mine!!! Any one totally in looove with that color???? I am!

Well I guess my "Fall Rollout" money has decreased by a tad. Eh, oh well. I doubt that I would buy full priced anyway. That gives me time to save up again!

Overall I'm still verrry happy with my purchases. I just hope they all work out!!!

Did any of you buy anything after today's update? Holler back.

AHH after seeing a preview of the fall catalog that Shannon at Wardrobe Review posted, I AM IN LOVE!

I'm love love loving this entire outfit! Especially the Double Cloth Camino Coat in Bright Cobalt! $278

I'm definitely saving the rest of my money for the fall rollout! Are you?!
I'm sooo excited!!! :)

Weekend Recap!

I had a super fun weekend with my sister. She's usually busy out and about so we finally had some sister bonding time.

First off we visited the Grammy Museum at Nokia Live.

It's brand spankin' new so we wanted to check it out. We really went there to see what they had about Michael Jackson and sadly they made it out to be more exciting than it really was. They have a few cool exhibits which include authentic pieces of paper where songs were written (I saw where Neil Diamond wrote "America" lol if you know that song), I saw that infamous J-Lo dress where she kinda bares it all (a body suit is actually sewn in so it's not like she was completely naked), and I saw a couple of Michael Jackson's beaded Jackets and gloves. The museum is pretty small so thank goodness i only paid $8 to see the thing and free parking. Had it been more, it would be a ripoff!

We then went shopping and I picked up:

This Frenchi Scarf for $10 from Nordstrom

I can see myself pairing it with tons of fall outfits to give it a little umph! :)

And these two things from JCrew:

Sunblocks Print Shorts

Limoncello Mini

The sale section at the Grove was pretty picked over so there wasn't much to get. Better for my wallet i suppose!

We then went home and watched Changeling.

Anyone seen it??? Ahhh I seriously had nightmares Saturday night! It's a very sad story about a boy who goes missing and LA police department returns the wrong boy to the mother. The creepy part is that it is a TRUE story and the town "Wine Country" now known as Mira Loma, CA is the next town over from my hometown! AHH. Creepy. If you haven't watched it just get ready for some disturbing and incredibly FRUSTRATING stuff. Surprisingly Angelina Jolie was really good in the movie and I'm not really a fan of hers.
---
And then on Sunday we went to the Dodgers Game vs. the Houston Astros.

I had a great time despite the 100 degree weather! After the 2nd Inning my sister and I had to hop to some unclaimed seats in the shade so that we wouldn't get all sunburned. We didn't get to see Manny hit any homers but all in all it was a fun environment with fun people! Plus games are always better when your team wins! :)

I hope you all had a great weekend! Make sure you set your alarm clocks early tomorrow for a sale re-stock update so that you can take advantage of the new 20% off promo!!! Have a great week!

Happy Tuesday!

Today has been such a great day! Why?? Because My RedTagCrazy order came in today!! It was *super fast* and beautifully packaged!

Don't you wish that JCrew would treat your orders like this?! Nicely boxed and wrapped with fun tissue paper! It was like receiving a gift! (LOL from myself!) I got 3 tops and paid a total of $25! Supposedly I saved over $200 off retail price! That white tank top in the picture retails for $125 alone! Crazy huh?! Refer to this post if you want to join their site. When you do, you automatically get $5 to spend! :) Enjoy!

Anywho, today also marks my 50th follower! I remember being totally stoked with like 15! So to all of you who keep coming back! THANKS! :)
It's great to know that there are people like me who enjoy blogging (both reading and writing), shopping, JCREW!, and saving $$$ during sales!

Happy Tuesday to you all!

PS: Stay tuned, I'll be holding a GIVEAWAY next week!

My Weekend Shopping Finds and #200!

I had a B-L-A-S-T shopping this weekend! I found some great stuff at BR, Nordstrom Rack, and NY&CO.

First up BR:
I founds 2 pairs of Earrings both $6.97 each! Such a steal!
These ones are super pretty!

And these studs are a purple amethyst color. Sorry for the bad picture!

I also bought these sandals! Super cute and surprisingly comfy! $24.99

I'm thinking about getting the black patent ones too since those are incredibly cute! Online I think that they are still $29.99 so check your local BR if you're interested!

And last but not least from BR, I got these fun Satin Ballet flats for $21!

I'm not exactly sure what to wear with these yet but they were too good to pass up!

Next up: Nordstrom Rack
As I strolled around the overly crowded and messy Nordstrom Rack, I found these Patent Wedge shoes.

And they were only $19.90!!! I looove the wedge look and how they fade from Green to black! Looove it!

And now for: NY&Co.
I only went inside because they had these huge 50% off signs in the window and just after a minute in the store I found 2 items that caught my eye.

Vneck Print Dress was $60 got it for $30!
Here's how it looked on me:

I thought it was pretty cute and certainly has a lot of potential. The only minor thing is that I might have it taken up a few inches just so that it reaches knee length.

My last item: "Ikat" Print Scarf $11.86

Hmm, it looks kinda ugly in this picture but IRL, it is waaay different looking! I saw this scarf triple wrapped on a mannequin that had on a magenta top and denim jacket. I'll have to re-create the look one day but I can definitely see myself wearing this scarf all through fall!

So that's it for my purchases! Did you do any shopping this weekend? I was surprised that there were still sales going on! I guess everyone is trying to get rid of those last few summer items!

On a VERY BIG side note: Today marks for me my 200th post! I can't believe it! I started this blog back in December so that I could started my rants and raves on JCrew but now it has grown into so much more! I have had so much fun keeping this blog running and have met so many great ladies through it all!
So to all of you f-a-b-o-u-l-o-u-s readers, THANKS for always stopping by! And keep on coming back! :)

I'm sorry but...

I think these earrings are too big!
Look how H-U-G-E they are!!!

This is Los Angeles Good Day LA anchor Dorothy Lucey. And yes, she wore them to work. I guess these are "IN" style but personally, they look like they are heavy and just like "BAM" in your face! What do you think??? Would you wear these?

Btw, have you guys noticed lately how "stylish" and less "business-attire-y" News Reporters, ahem! I mean Broadcast Journalists have gotten?! I'm surprised! They're getting more and more casual everyday!

LOL: Creepy or Cute???

Evian's New Roller Skating Babies. Hmmmmmm I'm laughing outside while still feeeling a tad creeped out. What do you think?

For Sale!

As much as I LOVE this necklace, I'm not getting as much use out of it as I had originally hoped. So to anyone that would love to give it a good home, come and get it! :)

I've only worn it 3 times so it is practically new.
I'm asking $40 shipped

I also have the Vachetta Brown Belt, Size small $23 shipped.

Feel free to email me questions. Thanks!
sbash123@yahoo.com

Oh no, I CAVED.

After fellow JCA Jean found JCrew's SOHO store to be filled with necklaces, I gave them a call and to my SURPRISE, THEY HAD THE ONE I WANTED!!!

Crystal-Flower Charm Necklace $29.99

I tend to ignore full priced jewelry altogether and so once items go on sale I usually end up waiting until the last minute for them to be dirt cheap or end up missing out because they're sold out. I already missed out on the Magnolia flower necklace and so when I missed this flower charm crystal necklace I was super sad.

But now, I can be HAPPY! Woop woop! Still within my $30 spending max too! :)
Did any of you ladies cave at the last minute... or thinking about it?!

PS: Thanks Jean! :)

I went shopping!

My mom took Monday off so that we could have another fun shopping outing. This time we ventured off to Costa Mesa, California to stroll around South Coast Plaza. That mall is super nice! It has all of those high end stores that I can only wish to afford. But it sure was fun to window shop! I went into JCrew (of course!) and even though that store is HUGE, I was super UNDER-whelmed! Their sales section went from wall to wall but I really didn't see anything i needed to have. For the most part I was pretty bored with all of the summer stuff and I guess I'm just waiting for fall to come around!

I then went into "Zara" and found my own cute petite version of a "Poplin Cargo Jacket."

I got this Jacket for $24.99 so it still kept within my $30/per piece max rule. It doesn't have a hood but still manages to give off the boyish jacket look without being oversized or too masculine. You know that feeling when you see something that you just LOVE on the hanger and just HAVE to try it on then and there without going to the fitting room... I did that with this jacket and seriously fell in love with it. The army green color is perfect for fall and I can't wait to re-create this look:

My last set of purchases came from Banana Republic. Let me just say that they were practically giving their clothes away. Stuff was seriously marked down even without an additional percent off sale. (I must have missed that this weekend.) But anyway, I ended up walking away with 6 pieces:
3 long sleeve v-neck sweaters (12.99 each) one Orange, one Black, and one White. They're quite comparable to JCrew's Cotton V Neck Sweater but with a slightly deeper V. I also bought a fun blouse for 13.99, a Suit Coat/Jacket Piece for 17.99, and a Tie Wrap Sweatshirt/Jacket for 18.99 that has the same material as the Rumpled Terry Cardigan. And the best part?! I spent LESS than $100! Woop woop! :)
(Sorry I didn't take pics.)

So all in all, my shopping day was a success! I love shopping during sales! It just feels so good when you pay less than full price! :)

So did any of you take part in any 4th of July sales?! If so, what did you score? Are you taking part in JCrew's 20% off sale???

Happy Shopping!

Santa Barbara AND my new ATL tee

I paid a visit to lovely Santa Barbara with my mother the other day and it was absolutely beautiful!

The sky was so blue and the crashing waves were just so calming.

We spent our day visiting all of the great shops, strolling the beach, and visiting the Camarillo outlets on our way home.

The funny thing is that even with all of the f-a-b-u-l-o-u-s shops, I only ended up buying one thing:

Ruffle Front Crochet Trim Tee
Currently $19.99 and 25% off online

It's pretty "JCrew-ish" IMO and maybe that's what made me buy it. It has some interesting crochet trimming and fun ruffle-y detailing. It's very lightweight and fitted. (But not tooooo fitted.) The color I'm wearing is Peach and is perfect for this summer season. I highly recommend this top if you're looking for something "different."

Well I guess that is all for now. I hope you all enjoyed your holiday weekend! :)
