My day @ the Desert Hills Premium Outlets!!

Today Mom & I went to the outlets to take advantage of our Kate Spade F&F coupon as well as see the new Tory Burch Shop. We left with some pretty good deals!

First off, we got there at 10 o'clock thinking that was when it opened today but i guess it was 9! We had a good laugh about that because we even waited in our car for about 10 minutes so we wouldn't have to wait out in the cold. But anyway, here is what I ended up getting:


A super cute Kate Spade Cross body & iPhone case and some Tory Burch Isabel sandals. Lol, I've got a little orange and pink trend going on!

Kate Spade had tons of promotions on the handbags (50% off, 40% off, 30% off, and 25% off) PLUS you got to use your F&F coupon for even more savings! I got the crossbody for a little over $50 (Originally $135) and the iPhone case for about $18. My mom got a lovely Kate Spade Melinda "Head in the Sand Satchel (like this)
 
but in pink for only $120! She even got a matching wallet for only $25! Such a steal! :)

Then we headed into the BRAND NEW TORY BURCH OUTLET BOUTIQUE! Lol, yes I'm a dork and took a picture.

 

But anyway, it was pretty crowded! They had a security guy holding people in a line to get in. There were lots of people checking out the Revas. They had a good number of clothes at this store.. more so than the Tory Burch Outlet in Camarillo. Revas go for about $165 tons of colors and styles! I'm not really in need of any flats at the moments so I ended up getting these cute sandals!


They were marked down to $79 from $115. Not too bad. (Lol, don't mind the white paper... I'm going to clip it to polyvore hehe.)

They also have tons of wristlets, card wallets, regular wallets, and totes. Not many niiiice handbags. The card cases are $79, wristlets are $134, and the totes are $180. There wasn't any super promotion going on but all of the items are marked down around 30%. If you decide to go to this shop, get there early! The SA told me that they sell out of sizes fast! Plus, if you go early you can avoid being in a line.

I also stopped into JCrew and it was pretty wah wah. So I left empty handed. All knits were 40% off, scarves were 40% off, Jewelry 50% off, Perfect shirts 40% off, and Clearance was 20% off. I think the online promotion is better because the crewlet price tags are like $$$ so even with those promos the price isn't all that great.

All in all, it was a fun day of shopping! Happy weekend all! :)

Hello WORLD!

I've been so busy with life that my poor little blog got neglected :(

But anyway, I've got good news!!! I just found today that I got into the Masters in Science program that I applied to! I totally started to lose hope! But woot! 1 acceptance is good which means I'll finally be a grad student yay! :)

I also had a phone interview for a different program today. My mom told me to dress up so that I would feel confident. Here is what I wore:


Cute huh?! My sweater is from NY&Co. Its funny how this sweater holds up better than some of my JCrew ones that have developed holes! I'm wearing a yellow perfect-fit tee shirt from the outlet and a skinny metallic gold belt. My skirt is the Abstract Lattice Skirt and my bracelet is a JCrew bauble one.

LOVE!!!

But anyway.. no matter how today's interview turns out. I'm happy to be going to school next year! WOOT!

Oh and I went to the outlet this weekend and tried on the Olivia dress. (item 37407)

This is an XS. Runs kinda big...paperbag like huh? I didn't buy it. Even with the 20% off it was still like $28... Meh. The concept was cute.

Overdue Outfits of the day...

Just some outfits of the day that I never got around to posting! :) I always love seeing what other bloggers put together so here are a few of mine! (Btw, please excuse my mess of a room & the not clean mirror. Hehe)

 Cute fun little outfit I wore shopping. Wearing Express denim cropped leggings with a cheap JCrew tee. It had a flower and some sequins... tissue thin. Bleh. Looks cute under a cardi though! The sweater is a Merino Michelle Cardigan in Cerise. LOVE!

 Keepin' it simple but cute. Got this look a like Denim Shirt from NY&Co for like $20. Total stand-in for the JCrew denim one that costs like $98. Also wearing this super cute scarf from the outlet. Was like $15. And the pants are JCrew toothpick ankle jeans in black resin.


 My HONEY BF Sweater. LOVE this bad boy! I'm wearing an XS along with my fav Crystal Pillow necklace. That awesome handbag was a steal from Marshalls. It's a 7 for all mankind bag. LOVE IT! The tassel and hardware make it so cute!

 My tried and true Cadet Funnel neck cardigan! LOVE. Wearing it in a small with a scarf from the outlets. The skinny cords are from ATL. Great stand-in for the JCrew ones that were TOOO expensive for me!


 My BELOVED Silvana Cardigan in Bronze Twig. LOVE LOVE LOVE this cardigan. I'm wearing an XS and its such a cute yet edgy sweater. Tons of different combos to wear this one with!


Wearing Banana Republic Embellished Merino Cardigan. Got in the clearance section for maybe $25? It was cheap. LOVE IT! The beads are cute and different. The pants are ATL skinny riding pants. They have funny patches on the inner knee. Kinda cool.


Brushstroke Shimmer Tee. LOVE! I'm wearing a small and its definitely more substantial that tissue tees. Such a deal since its like only $10 in the sale section. Grab one! :)

I received American Eagle's F&F email yesterday so I decided to take a peek just for fun. I ended up stumbling upon this AWESOME Military Watch that is totally a complete look-a-like to the Timex one JCrew is offering. I don't know what it looks like IRL but I'll report back once I get it. I hope that I can somehow remove the strap and use some of the CUTE ones that JCrew offers.

Cheap Thrill: E.L.F cosmetics!

I'm definitely a girl on a budget and whenever I'm in the market for nail polish, E.L.F. is where I go to! Seriously, 75% of their stuff is like $1. Such a deal! They have everything from eye shadows, mineral makeup, to lip gloss. Some items range up to $5 or a tad more but from my experience their nail polish is my fav! They have such pretty colors and the nail brush is nice and full which makes nail painting a cinch! Definitely go with 2 coats and a top coat to keep it lasting :)

Another round of the FINAL SALE sale!

Okay, so after I placed my first order on Friday, I realized that I didn't look at the shoe section or see the striped pocket tee!!! I was so mad at myself because I'm in desperate need of new metallic gold flats (I wear them with EVERYTHING) and I didn't even think to look for new ones. Of course, as soon as I get to the shoe section, the Kerrington Ballet flats were on sale!! PERFECT, right?! But then I realized that after shipping and taxes the total of the tee & shoes would come right back to a little over $100. And well, I didn't $100 just for one pair of shoes and one tee!!! You know me, I'm a sales shopper!!! Plus the shipping price was ridiculous!!!

So what did I do? I bought a couple more tees and a few factory ride alongs so that I could get free shipping and essentially only pay $80ish dollars for the shoes & shirt. WOOP! Hopefully these shoes fit! If they don't, ahhh I'll be super upset!!!

I'm a complete sucker for % off sales, ESPECIALLY when they include free shipping! I totally know that they're "final" sale but if they don't fit, I can always sell on ebay or on the exchange. Plus, I know my sister is always more than willing to take the stuff that I won't wear!

Hmmm, but maybe I NEED that Alexie sweater. I don't have that color in my closet yet. And the Drapey Tank. Definitely need that tank for Fall! OH and the Oxford heels. Gotta have the oxford heels! Ahhhh! What's a girl to do?!

OH JCREW.

This past weekend I had a horrendous shopping experience! I think we've all been there... when the store is in complete shambles, too many people crowding the sales racks so you can't take a peek, no one asks if you want a fitting room started, and of course the rude sales associate... I encountered all of those when shopping at a certain JCrew on Saturday.

I wanted to buy my beloved Silvana cardigan and the Marled Shawl cardigan. When I asked for an online price match, lets just say they said NO. The lady was like, "well you can either buy the price on the tag with the 30% off promotion or order online and get that sales price and pay shipping." I was like, "umm, isn't it your policy to match prices?" And she was like, "no we NEVER do that. online is separate from the store. they mark those prices down to reflect the current promo." (which was a complete lie.) then some more blah blah blah and then she said, "oh no, that marled cardigan sweater isn't even on sale online." and i was like "whaaa? yes it is! trust me, i wouldn't be buying them if they weren't!" after a few head shakes, a few glares, and a few more no's and a couple of eye rolls from her... I politely said, "well, that's okay then. nevermind i wont be taking them. thanks anyway."

Ahhh! I just don't understand how some people can be employed by a store and not even know the policies?! I swear that we AFICIONADAS can probably name every sale price in store! And why do they have to be so mean??? I seriously was so bummed after that, I just wanted to leave the mall!

But anyway, to cut to the chase, I emailed "contactus@jcrew.com" and let them know about my ordeal. They then forwarded my email to the lady that oversees the JCrews in the area and she gave me a friendly call. She could not stop apologizing about my rotten experience and was very happy to make it up to me! She went ahead and located the sweater I wanted and is having it shipped out to me with the sales/promo applied. WONDERFUL!

I had told my online PS earlier what happened and she was quick to offer the same deal to me. I now have both my Silvana and Marled Shawl cardigans coming my way! :)

Now why can't they all be as friendly and courteous??? Is it really so hard?!

October catalog LOVE

I've been away from the Crew for so long that I didn't even get to see the catalog until this morning! There are quite a few looks that I'm LOVING, but as always, I have to wait for them to go on sale. By the looks of things, it seems like things go on sale rather quickly!

Here's what I'm loving:

I really want those pixie pants but they're out of stock in the color I want. I'm really loving that puffer vest too! I really need to get my butt over to a B&M! I wish I had a Mickey card but it's okay... I really need to clear some closet space first!
