I'm sorry but...

I think these earrings are too big!
Look how H-U-G-E they are!!!

This is Los Angeles Good Day LA anchor Dorothy Lucey. And yes, she wore them to work. I guess these are "IN" style but personally, they look like they are heavy and just like "BAM" in your face! What do you think??? Would you wear these?

Btw, have you guys noticed lately how "stylish" and less "business-attire-y" News Reporters, ahem! I mean Broadcast Journalists have gotten?! I'm surprised! They're getting more and more casual everyday!

LOL: Creepy or Cute???

Evian's New Roller Skating Babies. Hmmmmmm I'm laughing outside while still feeeling a tad creeped out. What do you think?

For Sale!

As much as I LOVE this necklace, I'm not getting as much use out of it as I had originally hoped. So to anyone that would love to give it a good home, come and get it! :)

I've only worn it 3 times so it is practically new.
I'm asking $40 shipped

I also have the Vachetta Brown Belt, Size small $23 shipped.

Feel free to email me questions. Thanks!

Oh no, I CAVED.

After fellow JCA Jean found JCrew's SOHO store to be filled with necklaces, I gave them a call and to my SURPRISE, THEY HAD THE ONE I WANTED!!!

Crystal-Flower Charm Necklace $29.99

I tend to ignore full priced jewelry altogether and so once items go on sale I usually end up waiting until the last minute for them to be dirt cheap or end up missing out because they're sold out. I already missed out on the Magnolia flower necklace and so when I missed this flower charm crystal necklace I was super sad.

But now, I can be HAPPY! Woop woop! Still within my $30 spending max too! :)
Did any of you ladies cave at the last minute... or thinking about it?!

PS: Thanks Jean! :)

I went shopping!

My mom took Monday off so that we could have another fun shopping outing. This time we ventured off to Costa Mesa, California to stroll around South Coast Plaza. That mall is super nice! It has all of those high end stores that I can only wish to afford. But it sure was fun to window shop! I went into JCrew (of course!) and even though that store is HUGE, I was super UNDER-whelmed! Their sales section went from wall to wall but I really didn't see anything i needed to have. For the most part I was pretty bored with all of the summer stuff and I guess I'm just waiting for fall to come around!

I then went into "Zara" and found my own cute petite version of a "Poplin Cargo Jacket."

I got this Jacket for $24.99 so it still kept within my $30/per piece max rule. It doesn't have a hood but still manages to give off the boyish jacket look without being oversized or too masculine. You know that feeling when you see something that you just LOVE on the hanger and just HAVE to try it on then and there without going to the fitting room... I did that with this jacket and seriously fell in love with it. The army green color is perfect for fall and I can't wait to re-create this look:

My last set of purchases came from Banana Republic. Let me just say that they were practically giving their clothes away. Stuff was seriously marked down even without an additional percent off sale. (I must have missed that this weekend.) But anyway, I ended up walking away with 6 pieces:
3 long sleeve v-neck sweaters (12.99 each) one Orange, one Black, and one White. They're quite comparable to JCrew's Cotton V Neck Sweater but with a slightly deeper V. I also bought a fun blouse for 13.99, a Suit Coat/Jacket Piece for 17.99, and a Tie Wrap Sweatshirt/Jacket for 18.99 that has the same material as the Rumpled Terry Cardigan. And the best part?! I spent LESS than $100! Woop woop! :)
(Sorry I didn't take pics.)

So all in all, my shopping day was a success! I love shopping during sales! It just feels so good when you pay less than full price! :)

So did any of you take part in any 4th of July sales?! If so, what did you score? Are you taking part in JCrew's 20% off sale???

Happy Shopping!

Santa Barbara AND my new ATL tee

I paid a visit to lovely Santa Barbara with my mother the other day and it was absolutely beautiful!

The sky was so blue and the crashing waves were just so calming.

We spent our day visiting all of the great shops, strolling the beach, and visiting the Camarillo outlets on our way home.

The funny thing is that even with all of the f-a-b-u-l-o-u-s shops, I only ended up buying one thing:

Ruffle Front Crochet Trim Tee
Currently $19.99 and 25% off online

It's pretty "JCrew-ish" IMO and maybe that's what made me buy it. It has some interesting crochet trimming and fun ruffle-y detailing. It's very lightweight and fitted. (But not tooooo fitted.) The color I'm wearing is Peach and is perfect for this summer season. I highly recommend this top if you're looking for something "different."

Well I guess that is all for now. I hope you all enjoyed your holiday weekend! :)
