Keep or Return: Twyla Tank (Need YOUR Advice!)

I just received the Twyla Tank and I really can't decide if I want to keep it or return it.

The good: I LOVE the color! This shocking pink color is a beauty! Its bright, fun, and adds a pop of life into an outfit.

The bad: It's like someone took a piece of silk, cut a tank top pattern on it, and sewed the pieces together. It's totally plain.

Fit: I'm wearing this in a 2. It's completely boxy. It has no real shape and so it just lays there on the body. It would be a good layer UNDER a jacket, shirt, or cardigan. On it's own, it's really questionable.

What do you think? Does it look really bad? Is it worth the $38ish dollars I spent on it? Is color reason alone to keep an item???

I kind of feel like this will eventually go down in price to like $19.99 or something...

Please give me your advice!

Liberty Love!

I was SUPER excited about this launch ALLL last week that I visited Target EVERYDAY just to make sure they didn't put stuff out early. I was scared that I would miss out on it! I was so anxious to fall asleep Saturday night that I didn't sleep until past midnight! Once I finally fell asleep, I had a dream that I got to Target 30 mins late and EVERYTHING WAS GONE!! No joke! I dreamed about that! So what did I do? Woke up at 7am Sunday morning, left my place by 7:30 and waited outside of Target. To my surprise there were a few ladies already there waiting by the door! We all stood in the pouring rain! By 7:59 there were about 20 people in line waiting to get in!!!

My boyfriend and I had come up with a strategy for him to grab a cart while I "walked fast" to the Women's clothing department.

Surprisingly, this is all I ended up getting:

Button-up Tunic Top: $24.99

This is the closest I'll probably get to having another Liberty print Button up shirt. This is actually a tunic found in the swim section. I just folded it under to make it a shirt. IMO, it looks great with jeans or even leggings worn long. I'm wearing a size small. The XS was too tight in the shoulders for me. I'm loving the print and how easy this shirt is to wear! :)

Peacock Halter Top: $19.99

I love love love this shirt! As soon as I put it on, I knew it was love. The fit is nice & comfy and the print is vibrant and oooh so pretty! I'm wearing a size small in this one. The only problem I had with this top was the button in the back of the neck. It's a bit hard to button on and off but I can live with it. Definitely run to Target if you're interested in this one! :)

and this Fun Pretty Umbrella: $14.99

It's actually a nice umbrella for $15. It has one of those press buttons to make it open up and it's pretty lightweight which makes it easy to carry around.
---

Most of the other ladies ran straight to the bedding and home departments. They were filling their carts like crazy!!! I passed on all that stuff because I just don't need it. I already have storage boxes and what not. And what will I do with a flowery cup or flowery pillows? I live with a boy. I already have cups and plates and my bf was definitely not going to let me "girly-up" the apartment.

Overall, I'm very happy with what I got. Did you go Liberty crazy?

EXTRA30!

YAY! Extra30!!! My favorite promo!!! I love love love getting free shipping & an additional % off! This is by far one of the best promotions that JCrew offers so be sure to take advantage of it!

I woke up super late (8:00am) yesterday and all of the good stuff was gone! So what did I do? Wake up at 5:30am this morning to make sure that I could get SOMETHING. Plus, I knew that JCrew would put different stuff on promo since Wednesday is the magic day!

I ended up getting the following items:

and for only $151! (Yeah, LOL I said ONLY $151, as if $151 was cheap. Well, in terms of JCrew that is fairly cheap.) I'm happy to have gotten another Sherpa Hoodie! I have the pewter one and I wear it so often! It really pays for itself. I'm a very Jeans & Tee's kind of girl and since I'm just a student it helps to have a whole rack of tee's to choose from. :)

I was such a dork and ordered a bunch of stuff and then when I checked out I didn't even realize that I didn't make the $150 mark and so I paid shipping. I called CS right away and canceled my order and luckily got everything I wanted except for a Jackie Shell which ended up selling out. Oh well... I'm still happy with what I got.

The only item I'm uncertain about is the Twyla tank. I loved the color. I'm not sure of the fit of it or if it is even worth the $$ I spent on it. At least I can always return it.

Oh and don't forget that RED promo prices can also be counted as "sale" and will get the 30% applied to it too. (That's why I picked up the polo & Twyla.)

Did you buy anything with this promo? Holding off for now? Let me know! :)

My Friday visit to JCrew!

I finally got to go to the B&M and do some shopping! I was excited to try on new things and see what the new arrivals look like IRL. I went shoppin' with fellow Boston JCA Jenn, and we had a great time! It was nice to go shopping with a girl and not have to sadly drag my bf from store to store.

Here is the Stripe Zebra Cardigan:

It's cute and runs TTS. I'm wearing a size small and I love the print. I'm just not loving the price tag of $88. I can definitely see myself wearing this paired with jeans or maybe even a black dress. I'll probably buy it right after it goes down in price a tad. I love the look of "painted" stripes instead of harsh lines... I think this cardi is gorgeous!

This is the Rumped Meron Dress: $132

I absolutely loved this dress on me. It was fitted, comfortable, and hit at a very good length. I would have never given it a second look after seeing the online picture but I really really liked it. The sleeves didn't even bother me! They're not so hideous in person. The price is the only thing really holding me back right now... as soon as it gets to under $100 or so I'll pick it up! Oh, and I'm wearing a 2 in this. They say that it's running a tad big.

Next are the two things that I ended up buying.
Cotton Check Shirt (Navy checks) & Vine Print Shorts:

I loved loved LOVED this shirt on me. It was fitted and really made me feel good for some reason. I saw the SA wearing this and just KNEW I had to try it on. I'm wearing this in a 4 and it is roomy enough to layer with and fairly fitted when buttoned. They have a men's shirt EXACTLY like this for $10 cheaper but I went with the ladies version ($69.50). Surprisingly this top looks very "JCrew" paired with the shorts (if you know what I mean. ) As soon as I tried on the shorts I knew I was going to buy them. They run TTS and have a 3 inch inseam. I think they are in store only? They're a little pricey at $60 but I had to have them! It was FP love.

Here is a close-up of the print.
Now on to other things:
Rainy Day Flats

I tried on the Rainy Day flats and as much as I wanted to buy them, they were pretty uncomfortable. It felt like just walking barefoot with some thin plastic for the soles. I can't imagine stepping on a pebble, OUCH! it would reeeeeally reeeeeeeally hurt! I just wish they had a bit more plastic sole to solve that problem. Won't be buying these puppies.

Next, the INFAMOUS Wool Floral Scarf:

I was 95% going to buy the Wool Floral Scarf in the Cotton Candy print but I just couldn't bring myself to pay $50 on a scarf. I just couldn't. It was warm and think and lovely! The print is TDF! If I change my mind, I miiiiiiiiight go back and get it. But for now, I'll just admire it from afar.

Ooh, I also saw the Metallic Beacon Bag IRL (not the Tobo) and it was really pretty! The pouch was a good size, the strap was interesting, and I really liked it! If I could go back and buy something right now, I'd buy that! Sorry I forgot to take a pic of it! :(

That's all for now! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! What did you think of the new arrivals did you take anything home?

Vintage Bateau Top: Quick Review

I just received this top yesterday and I'm very happy with it!

It's hard to say exactly if it runs TTS because I'm wearing a small which is a little looser in the body but the arms are a tad tight. Had I ordered an XS, the arms would probably be way too uncomfortable for my liking. My PS said that it *is* made to look a little more loose but I guess it is up to you how you plan on wearing it. It looks great simply worn w/ a pair of jeans.

I'm wearing the dark pewter color which looks like gray IRL but almost appears navy. The shirt is pretty thick and kinda rough if I had to describe it. It surely isn't made with the usual tissue material and isn't soft like the previous slub or painter tee's. It's supposedly "Vintage Slub" whatever that means... but anyway, now I'm really wishing that I ordered the carmel color one too! That's how much you'll like the shirt!

I know that this top IS backordered until June in certain sizes but if you want a SUPER helpful tip to get this top before then, DO THIS:
-Email your PS or erica@jcrew.com or even call to get a personal shopper and have them do a WE WILL FIND IT FOR YOU. Since it IS a full priced item it should work! Don't forget that you can always do a WWFIFY when you want a full priced item that is in store but sold out or backordered online. *I'm really not sure about online only items. Sorry!* The best part of doing this is that it ships FOR FREE! AND you can apply a student discount on top of that!

I did this service last week and quickly received an answer and got the shirt in the mail 2 days ago! :)

I really recommend utilizing this service because it works wonders! :)
Buy this top! You'll really like it! Happy Shopping y'all!
