Sigh. Can't we all just get along?!

Personally, I understand both sides. My rule of thumb is: You get what you pay for.

You shop at Target and buy something on the clearance rack or not clearance rack and you pay $7. Great! Now when you do that, you have to understand that you really shouldn't have too high of expectations for that shirt. Its simply made of cotton, you can machine wash it and blah blah blah. What you pay for really is convenience to the average customer. Eventually it fades and you throw it away. Lucky for you that shirt is fashionable and serves as a basic or "staple" to your wardrobe. And so yes, looking at it this way, $7 for a shirt IS a great deal. But I too know the difference between paying $7 and paying $20+ for a T-shirt. More than often, the $7 tee shirt is not as soft as the $20 one and the $7 one is just ordinary.

On the other hand, you can get so-so priced tshirts at AE, Old Navy, Gap wherever. But MY problem with buying those graphic tees are that they are so popular that EVERYONE and their mom ends up having them. They're very unoriginal and you might end up being some strangers twin that has the same shirt on. Pretty embarrassing especially when they end up looking better in it than you. Or, vice versa.

And now on to that $50 shirt that has stirred up the debate. Yeah, I know you hate the idea of paying $50 for a tee shirt that shows your bra and falls apart when washing but you know what? Fancy companies charge "FANCY" prices. They don't care that you hate that price, they're gonna charge it whether you like it or not. And as long as people buy them, they don't care about you not buying it. JCrew is an upscale type of store. They use fancy materials, have fancy designers, and they're really only looking out for number one. We're all very lucky that they offer promotions and sales and if you don't want to pay $50 for it now, you can just wait for that item to go on sale. And if you can't deal with that, just move on to another store.

IMO, there's no need to have a heart attack, be offended, or even cry and complain about that idea. Just take your money elsewhere and save us all the wah wahs and drama.

Yeah, the $50 is pricey for me. So i'll go ahead and wait it out. A t-shirt is just a t-shirt. Its just fashion. Its not a life or death situation. Leave the drama with your mama.
